This November, VALA2026 returns to Melbourne, bringing together the people, ideas and technologies shaping the future of libraries and the broader information sector.

Hosted at Melbourne Connect, VALA2026 is a place to explore what’s next, challenge current thinking, share knowledge and learn from colleagues and thought leaders from across Australia and around the world.

Since 1981, the VALA Biennial Conference has grown to become Australia’s largest library technology conference and is recognised as the premier library and information technology conference in the region. Every two years, delegates, speakers and industry partners from Australia, New Zealand, Asia and beyond come together in Melbourne to exchange ideas, discover new approaches and connect with a community passionate about the future of our sector.

In 2026, we look forward to continuing that tradition with an exciting program of international and Australian keynote speakers, thought-provoking presentations, practical insights and meaningful opportunities to connect.

Join us at Melbourne Connect this November and be part of the conversations shaping what comes next.
